This has a lock that can be only opened by the key, which is attached on your side of the harness. This is a great 2 pack in pink and green and the spring metal wire is very strong and elastic and has reflective strips for high visibility in the dark. Key lock works great but I personally don't like the induction lock, which is not reliable. I received this product for free through Vine program in exchange for an honest review, and that is what I have offered here.It was basically impossible to open the one with magnet.These are wonderful little safety leashes and they pair nicely with the little backpack leashes we use. We do double up and this keeps everyone close and as safe as possible and we found these to be a great addition for the littlest ones. He does a good job holding my hand when crossing a street, but he likes to be more independent when on a sidewalk. This child leash makes it so much easier to stay close to him when out and about. It is really perfect for just about anywhere...an amusement/theme park, city sidewalks, the grocery store, etc. I like that there is a lock feature but I don't need to use it as my son doesn't mind the device on his wrist and doesn't try to pull it off. I had tried something similar which came with a backpack and he hated it and refused to wear the backpack. This is much better for him. It's simple and easy to use. It is adjustable so it can grow with him as his hands and wrists get larger. This is one of those things that I think are a must have and really put my mind at ease while in public with my son.We use for our toddler and they are very sturdy. He likes these better than the backpack leashes.
