The UVANTI Travel Umbrella craftsmen goes to extremes to keep our customers stay dry and safe. Inverted Design This folding umbrella takes a inside-out design. It's different from regular umbrella which keeps the wet part inside of the umbrella and prevent the water from flowing downwards, keeping cars, desks and floors dry when close it. What's more, you could open and close this inverted umbrella easily in your car and will not get wet. You have to close the ordinary umbrella befor you sit down and you may get wet. But with this umbrella, you could sit down firstly, then pull it into the car after you are safe inside. Read more Teflon Technology Teflon coating is an excellent waterproof material that will repel water for years to come. You can put this umbrella into bag just shaking off water before closing. Upgrade Safety This windproof inverted umbrella is surrounded by reflective stripes, which offers 360-degree high visibility in all weather conditions. It is ideal for use by children, elderly, and virtually for all commuters in low visibility conditions. 10 Reinforced Fiberglass Ribs UVANTI uses a unique flexible 10 ribs that bends slightly in strong gusts without turning inside-out. It is stronger than ordinary 8 or 9 ribs umbrella and more compact than 12 ribs umbrella. Read more 46 Inches Large Coverage We balance the large canopy with compact travel size. The canopy provides enough shelter for 2 people, while still collapsing into a size that is small enough to toss in your backpack or messenger bag. Auto Open and Close Take off the umbrella sleeve and loosen the umbrella belt. Press button to open automatically. Press the button to automatically close the umbrella. Push the umbrella to the bottom with both hands and hear the click. Slip-Proof Handle The anti-slip handle is coated with special non-slip material and crafted to give you a good ergonomic grip. It's a good size and it's made well, but in a moderate breeze, it can turn inside out. That's half a star deduction. The other half star is that it's a little difficult to close when it's time. If those things don't concern you, I think you'll really like this one!My umbrella broke and it's time for a new one. I looked at bunches of compact umbrellas and decided to try several different ones. This ended up being my top pick. I want one that will sit under the back of the driver set in my car, where it's handy but won't be stepped on. This umbrella is a nice size for that. And this umbrella feels a little more substantial than a couple of the others, a little sturdier, a little better made. I looked at the loops connecting the spines to the umbrellas and the tips. How long will they last? I'm sending others back and keeping this one.And I do like the inverse/reverse idea, because sometimes when several people come in out of the rain, it's a problem to find a place to set the drippy umbrellas. That's a nice innovation.I do wish it folded just a little more compactly - but it's not bad. It takes time, but it can be squeezed back into its sheath. It's fine under my car seat, just not quite a compact "travel" umbrella.I also like the Teflon. It's terrible for cooking, but my umbrella is not likely to get over 350 degrees F - so it should be safe! And it will repel water, not absorb it. That's a nice touch.I like tge umbrella pattern and how it works. However it is just too long to work comfortably when you are in the rain and trying to quickly get it in your car.Well made, compact but opens up large. This is not a flimsy umbrella! After loosing my first one and trying to use a cheaper made umbrella, I purchased it a second time. This works great and I am happy with my purchase. I like that it pops out And folds up with the push of a button. Nice color also.Fairly well made. Arrived earlier than expected.Every now and then I run across a feature in something I've bought that just plain delights me....and solves a problem I didn't know I had. This compact folding umbrella is like that. There a lots of such umbrellas out there that open with a push of the handle button. But how many also close with a push of the same button? To be sure, it doesn't retract as well, but it closes the umbrella with a "snap" in such a fashion that rainwater is trapped INSIDE the folded umbrella. Very clever indeed!I've only had it for a few days but it has already rained a good bit here so I know that part of the umbrella works well. It's too soon to know how sturdy and reliable it is but it seems to be well made - fiberglass ribs and a couple sets of internal springs to drive the opening/closing function. The edge of there umbrella will often times not "flip" out when the button is pressed and it expands. Might take a few tries--sliding the umbrella back and forth--to get it to "pop" into position. Other than that, it's very compact and is holding up well.
