Half of the school year and still going strong. He loves his bookbag. It fits great and has the right amount of pockets.Very happy with this purchase definitely buying another the year after next because I feel it will last that long.Pros It is going to last all year! And expect it to last next year too.2 water bottle pockets and they don't fall out because we tied up the side straps.The pockets !!!!! 1. Small pocket perfect for a ziplock bag for extra masks. And still has room for more. 2. Next pocket up we use for winter gloves and hat. 3. Third pocket we use for extra clothes and a sweater. 4. The main pocket for school books and folder. Fits a number of high school type textbooks.Con The zipper does not allways catch the teeth right os it ends up open when zipping on the big pocket. It maybe because there are 2 zippers. But it is easy to fix by opening the pocket all the way and re-zipping. But for a 1st grader it's complicated. But since we have the extra straps on the water bottle sides strapped he easily stuffs the bag and runs to us with it open. I do see it as an issue if your child rides the bus home. I am tempted to take one of the zippers off and seeing if that helps. But it doesn't happen often.New feature recommendation:Wish it had the chest strap other bags have. For younger kids or overloaded bags it helps distribute the weight better. Especially when your kid loves running into school.Mid Summer and it's still holding strong. I did have to take pliers and close the sides of one of the zipper pulls and it fixed the zipper issue in 40sec. Wish I thought of it while he was in school. Perfect size for school and summer day camp. If he didn't get it so dirty at camp he'd still use it for this comming year. Going to wash it and keep it as back up in case his new one gives out. Wish the bookbag was still available I would buy two more.Purchased this for my 4th grader. At first usage, one of the zippers messed up but it went right back. It only happened once. That’s the reason for the 4 stars. I know there is potential for issues later. He’s used it for 3 weeks and it’s holding up well. Last year’s backpack started splitting two weeks in (different brand). His water bottle leaked but the inside contents of the backpack stayed dry. The multiple pockets are big hit with him - more space for junk. He loves the place on the front where he could add a key chain. The extra straps above the side pockets really help secure his water bottle. Shoulder straps are holding up well under the heavy strain.I bought this backpack to make a 72 hour it for my 6 year old daughter, I was worried it might be a little large for her but I'm happy with the size and my daughter loves the pink camo. I like the pouch setup two full depth pouches, the side pockets for water bottles, and a small pocket on the back for smaller items like batteries, toothbrush etc... Don't know how durable it will be but it looks like its reasonably well built.Keep hearing that there was going to be a shortage of backpacks for kids so I hurried to get this because of how it looked (exactly what my kid wanted). I was worried because in Alaska if the materials are flimsy or plastic like it will not last in our colder weather conditions.This backpack will hold up for a long while! The zipper seems sturdy enough to little kids roughness tooJust wish it where a little bit bigger for the bigger book load that may come in a couple of years. The zipper was off when I took it out of the package but I was able to get it back on the track ?I ordered this for my daughter for school. It's nice and light weight but also seems durable. Nice quality zippers and very good material. Won't know if it will hold up all year but everything seems to be made correctly on it.
