I took my 10 lb dog for about a 9 mi moderate hike in the white mountains. Like others, the straps were too long for me, so I crossed them. I found the pack comfortable and carried my dog about 80% of the hike up and all of the hike down the mountain. I didn't have to adjust the pack but needed help getting my dog out of the pack because I didn't want to take it off and on again. I would definitely buy this again and am really happy with my purchase. My dog stayed in the backpack without fussing the entire time and I felt she was safe because she was clipped in. I was able to add a small blanket in the pack to shield my dog from the wind.This bag is absolutely adorable and durable. I had brought my dog with me to a work event that was a 20 mile walk. Silly me thought my dog would at least walk a few miles but he was tuckered out after 1 ?. I carried him in it the rest of the way and he stayed put and enjoyed the ride! The straps only tighten to a certain point and are still quite long/loose…I ended up clipping the straps so they criss cross but you’d need someone to help you take it off or put it on that way. Overall a great concept!This was a low risk price investment to see if my little Sydnee dog was interested in my Harley. I use it as a front pack for her. She's a Malshi at 9.5lbs. The pack works as intended and she loves rolling on the scoot!She loves going for rides I have her so she'll ride on my back now she stays plenty secure she can move around so she can see where ever she'd like works great would definitely recommendGot this to use for our dog but haven't used it yet. Seems like a nicely made packHas a collar clip on the inside which is nice. Drawstring opening so she could escape. Overall highly recommendI bought a medium and it suits my dogs size perfectly. He weighs about 14 pounds. We travel and hike a lot and now that he is older he needs a break sometimes. We were using his airplane bag which is a duffle style. I believe this will be much less cumbersome.I love it and so does our little doggieYou and Your puppy or dog or cat would love this Carrier.
